At USF St. Petersburg, we have lots of student leadership opportunities with in SG. This includes:

Executive Cabinet 

Each year during the general election, the student body of the USF St. Petersburg Campus, votes in their incoming SG Governor and Lt. Governor. Once this positions begins (Summer), these roles hire an executive cabinet to include:

  • Chief of Staff
  • Deputy Financial Officer
  • Coordinator of Events
  • Coordinator of Marketing
  • Coordinator of Design
  • Coordinator of Sustainability
  • Student Legal Advocate
  • Deputy Supervisor of Elections

Campus Council 

Per SG Consolidated Statutes, each campus is allocated the number of seats available for campus council.

Currently, Campus Council at USF St. Petersburg can hold up to 9 seats. Campus Council Members play an important role for the USF St. Petersburg Campus by overseeing interim funding allocation for Student Organizations, many sit on the Campus Allocation Funding Committee (CAFC) to assess and allocate Student Activity Fees funds to clubs and departments each year.

Senate

With consolidation, USF formed a #OneUSF Senate containing representatives from each campus based on the student population on each of the USF Campuses. At this time, USF St. Petesburg has 5 Senate seats. Senate meetings regularly on Tuesday’s at 6pm in the Marshall Student Center in Tampa, but a virtual option is available to those at USF St. Petersburg.

Senators serve as the voice of the campus that they represent.

Judicial

With consolidation, USF formed a #OneUSF Supreme Court containing representatives from each campus. At this time, USF St. Petersburg has 3 Associate Justice Seats. Supreme meetings regularly to discuss parking ticket appeals and other necessary deliberation. While this is consolidated, a virtual option is available to those at USF St. Petersburg.
