A unique learning experience allowed History students the chance to examine more than a dozen artifacts ranging from Tuskegee Airmen nurse uniform pins to a "Don't Kiss Me" necklace worn by babies during the Tuberculosis outbreak of the early 1900s.
Education and research combined for students aboard a five-day cruise on the Florida Institute of Oceanography’s R/V Weatherbird II, giving them the opportunity to apply skills they’ve learned in the classroom to hands-on field studies at sea.

USF ranks among top 50 public universities for fifth year in a row, reaches highest overall ranking ever from U.S. News
For the fifth consecutive year, the University of South Florida places among the top 50 public universities in America, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best colleges. USF also reached its highest overall position ever at No. 89 among all universities public or private.
