USF to confer more than 2,700 degrees during summer commencement ceremonies

The University of South Florida will award more than 2,700 degrees during summer commencement scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6. The ceremonies include recipients of 1,789 bachelor’s, 755 master’s, three educational specialist, and 170 doctoral degrees.

Vichetca Keth, first PATHe graduate

St. Petersburg student is first to graduate from PATHe program at USF

A first-generation Asian-American who grew up in the St. Petersburg area, 23-year-old Vichetca Keth is now the first University of South Florida student to graduate from the Pinellas Access to Higher Education (PATHe) program. The initiative provides guidance and resources to Pinellas County students interested in obtaining education beyond high school.

Yesmin Delgado

Student’s journey for greater opportunity pays off with 4.0 GPA and coveted internship

Yesmin Delgado Alabart left Cuba at 24 seeking a brighter future. After immigrating to the United States, she settled in Tampa Bay to begin her higher education journey. Now Alabart will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a 4.0 GPA from USF’s St. Petersburg campus.
