FALL 2021 COMMENCEMENT

How do I register for Fall 2021 Commencement and when do I need to register by?

Registration for students to participate is available here. Students may register to attend until December 3.

Where are the Commencement ceremonies held?

Summer 2021 Commencement will be held at the Tampa campus Yuengling Center for all graduates from all campuses.

Is parking free?

Parking is free on the Tampa campus for Commencement weekend.

What time should graduates and guests arrive?

Doors open 60 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony; please remain in your vehicle and do not congregate outside the building until doors are open. Seating is first come, first served and no tickets are required. Seat saving is not allowed. Graduates should arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Ceremonies typically last 90 minutes.

Are ceremonies streamed online?

Ceremonies at the Tampa campus inside the Yuengling Center are livestreamed via the USF YouTube channel.

Are tickets required for guests?

There are no tickets required for guests to attend Commencement and no limit on how many guests each graduate may bring.

I am a health sciences student, which ceremony do I attend?

The health sciences major is transitioning out of the College of Arts and Sciences’ School of Information to the College of Public Health. Please contact your academic advisor to see which college you are officially graduating from so you register to attend correctly.

How will COVID-19 affect the ceremonies?

As the university continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our students and guests, faculty and staff remain our top priority. No final decisions have been made as to any changes that may be implemented for our ceremonies. Updates and important information will be communicated to students as they become available. We encourage those who plan on attending to be flexible in their plans should any changes occur.
