What is Health Promotions?

Health promotion is the process of empowering individuals to take greater control of their health and well-being. At USF St. Petersburg, Health Promotion advances the university’s mission by fostering student success and cultivating a healthy campus community through theory-driven, research-informed, and evidence-based programs and initiatives.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Wellness Center provides outreach programs, educational presentations, workshops, and trainings designed to enhance wellness in our campus community and to meet the needs of our students for academic, personal, social, and psychological growth. We provide information on a variety of topics like: sexual health and safer sex, alcohol and other drug prevention, smoking cessation, stress management, healthy life choices, nutrition, and more! Please note that our outreach and trainings are for the USF St. Petersburg community. We do not provide services to community members or outside organizations, but we may make exceptions on a case by case basis. If you have any questions about whether your audience fits our scope of practice, please contact us.
