When students return to campus in spring 2021, they will notice new enhancements to the dining program. USF Dining is excited to introduce the opening of the anticipated dining facility, The Nest. The new state-of-the-art dining hall is located at a prime location on the first floor of the Osprey Suites, on the corner of Third Street South and Sixth Avenue South.

The new dining facility will provide students with more variety, convenience and meal plan value. Nestled on the first floor of Osprey Suites, The Nest will serve as a place to settle in with your friends and a delicious meal. The dynamic, sun-filled, all-you-care-to-eat facility will showcase modern menu concepts such as True Balance: An Allergen Zone Kitchen, DestiNations serving flavors from around the world and a complete plant-based station.

The contemporary space is structured like a food-hall including 8 uniquely branded station concepts, with display cooking, for guests to view the fresh dishes being prepared. Advanced technology will allow you to navigate through the menus, customize and enjoy your meal day or night.

Guests will have the option to enjoy their meal at the dining hall or to-go. The facility is designed with safe social distancing, seating and proper CDC guidelines in mind. An interactive hand washing station is also available to emphasize safe and clean dining for all guests. USF Dining’s Clean Team will be deployed to ensure top safety and sanitation is provided throughout all hours of service.

With the opening of the new dining hall, The Nest will become the new eatery on campus for the entire USF community. Meal plan holders will now use their meal plan swipes at The Nest. Guests will simply enter the dining hall, swipe in using their USF ID card or pay with Dining Dollars, cash, credit/debit. Once swiped in, the delicious food options are endless. As a reminder, Dining Dollars can be used at ANY dining location across campus including: The Coral Café, The Reef, The Bull Market Café and The Nest. The Reef, in the University Student Center, will also be undergoing a transformation during the winter break.

Beginning January 6, 2021, The Reef will open with an expanded convenience store concept called “727 Eats.” 727 Eats combines the corner store vibe with the style of a modern market, featuring grab-and-go dining options for breakfast, lunch or any time of day. The concept will accept Dining Dollars for students looking for a quick, convenient place to grab not only fresh food, but also the everyday essentials. In addition, offerings will include a variety of local products, fresh produce, sushi, gluten-free, vegan and low-carb options.

The Nest is set to open its doors to students, faculty, staff and the public beginning Friday, January 8. Stay connected to USF Dining and social media for all the latest updates on The Nest.
