The Community Scholars program offers guaranteed admission to the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus for students who live outside Pinellas County for the Spring term directly after high school graduation and includes a $1,000 one-time transfer scholarship. Students outside of Pinellas County who are not offered admission in the Fall semester are eligible for the program. All eligible students will receive a letter in the mail inviting them to participate in this program.
Students must meet the following criteria:
- Complete 12 or more transferable credits at an accredited college/university in the Summer and/or Fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
- Earn at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in all post-secondary work and a passing grade in all college-level courses.
- Enroll at the USF St. Petersburg campus as a full-time student during their first spring semester.
The Community Scholars participant will receive dedicated admissions and advising support from the Assistant Director of Recruitment and a $1,000 scholarship for their first spring semester of enrollment at the St. Petersburg campus.
