The Master's Program in STEM Education is intended for educators who teach in the challenging and high-demand fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and who want to learn to integrate content from across these fields. This online program is practical and helps educators connect theory with hands-on experience and prepares them for roles as teacher leaders. Students in this program are encouraged and empowered to immediately implement what they are learning into their own classroom settings.
Students must choose a concentration either in Elementary Math and Science or Secondary Math and Science.
Who can apply
Both concentrations are designed for practicing educators such as teachers or instructional coaches. Students enrolled in this program must be working in a STEM-related educational setting at time of admission.
The program attracts both people who are passionate about STEM Education and want to grow and become leaders in the field, as well as those who don't feel totally confident about teaching STEM and want to improve and their skills.

What to expect
This is a part-time program, completely online and mostly asynchronous. Assignments are designed to be practical and students are encouraged to immediately implement what they are learning into their own classrooms. This program is designed for educators to learn new things and use them NOW.
Courses meeting times are designed to work with your current job schedule. However, the program is not entirely self-paced and students are not isolated; you can expect lots of interaction and collaboration with fellow students and your instructors.
