SGEF MEETINGS

The USF St. Petersburg campus Student Green Energy Fund Committee meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 11:00 am on Microsoft Teams.

These are regular meetings that involves everyone, who shares or is interested in sustainability projects on campus. The main goal of the meetings is to discuss issues, approving or rejecting project proposals, organizing events among other club activities for the purpose of generating group decisions that contribute to quicker project delivery, according to the organizations mission, planned goals and expected results.

The meetings are a great way to be part of the conversation and learn how to propose your own sustainability project.

Under Florida Law, meetings are open to the public and the public is invited to attend.

SIGNATURE ACTIVITies & EVENTS

Activities and events designed to celebrate successful projects and attract new members are held throughout the academic year.

The Green Festival. 

Hosted in the Fall Semester, this culture-shaping event is designed for the campus community to learn more about sustainable habits, foster solution-oriented conversations, and feature visionaries from business, design, culture, food, technology, science and entertainment.

Hosted by a couple of environmental clubs on campus, this event hopes to increase the
awareness of sustainability efforts across campus as well as highlight opportunities for

Spring Lunch N Learn.

Spring is the season of renewal, bringing with it some feelings of hope. Hosted in the Spring Semester, Lunch N Learn is an open forum luncheon for USF St. Petersburg campus community to come and ask their questions and learn about all the opportunities SGEF has to offer.  The event intends to recruit more members by spreading awareness of the organization.
