South Side St Petersburg Salt Creek Community Clean Up Event

Saturday, May 1, 2021

Salt Creek is a special place in south St Petersburg because it flows through diverse parts of town where different people can come together as one community. This will be the first time we clean up trash from the beginning of Upper Salt Creek at Dell Holmes Park on Lake Maggiore down to the end at Bayboro Harbor in downtown St Pete. There are some challenges and prizes for the serious trash pickers - 1/2 day Sweetwater Kayaks rentals, courtesy of Russell Farrow- owner - Dinner gift certificates; Big Catch courtesy of Mario Farias- owner, and The Chattaway courtesy of the Jillian Frers family - owner City council member Gina Driscoll, part of our regular clean-up crew, joins us again answering questions regarding Salt Creek and her efforts to improve environmental stewardship in our city. This will be a big day within a short time-frame! Thank you so much for helping to making St. Pete a safe, clean and beautiful habitat for all things living!
