Our Services
Welcome to Undergraduate Studies (UGS) at St. Petersburg, our programs and services are design to intentionally drive the degree completion goals of every student.
Some of our cornerstone programs and services include:
- Exploratory Curriculum and Advising: A first-year experience that focuses on decision-making and course selection while
advising and supporting students who are exploring their degree/major options at USF
St. Petersburg. Students will focus on satisfying the Enhanced General Education requirements,
which are needed for any major at USF. In addition, students participate in workshops
and experiential activities designed to explore their passions and connect them to
their academic journey.
- Student Success Advocacy: Our Student Success Advocates are dedicated to guiding undergraduate students in
their pursuit of timely progression to graduation. They work individually with students
towards their academic goals and collaborate with campus partners to improve retention
and progression to graduation.
- Academic Programs and Minors: In coordination with Undergraduate Studies in Tampa, we offer students on the St.
Petersburg campus access to the Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Science in Applied Science, its Leadership Studies minor, and most of its concentrations.
- Campus Support for Advising Excellence: Our team provides campus-based support for our advising community by coordinating
reporting and outreach initiatives that foster advising for academic success.
- Debbie Nye Sembler Student Success Center: The Center’s mission is to help students achieve their highest learning potential by assisting them in developing strong, lifelong learning strategies and skills in a safe and positive environment.
