The University of South Florida St. Petersburg Housing & Residential Education is
recruiting Resident Assistants (RA) for the 2024-2025 academic year. An RA is a live-in
student leadership role where they create a sense of belonging and community to a
variety of student populations through hosting floor events, 1:1 interactions with
their residents, and facilitating the residential curriculum. Our RA’s play a crucial
role in creating a unique experience for our students.

2024-2025 APPLICATION INFORMATION & QUESTIONS
The 2024-2025 RA Applications will open on November 13th, 2023 and will close on January 27th, 2024

The follow is required for your application to be completed:
- A copy of your resume
- An additional document with answers to the following questions. Responses to each question should be 300 words or less, but should still fully answer the questions
- Why are you interested in the RA role? What aspect(s) of the role excites you the most?
- In what ways have you demonstrated leadership in your past/current involvements? How has your experiences prepared you for the RA role?
- How would you work with someone of different values and/or background? What steps would you take to build an inclusive community and maintain a strong presence with your residents?
- How do you define support? How would you provide support to your residents and encourage them to seek out resources?
- What skills are you hoping to learn/takeaway from the RA role? How would this role impact your personal habits?
- We believe in understanding individual strengths and qualities of our candidates.
