Parent & Family Day 2025
We are thrilled to host all of our USF Families on the St. Petersburg Campus this Spring Semester. This new program is designed to feature fun events on campus and get USF Families connected with the St. Petersburg Community. Use this program linked below to guide you throughout your Family Day experience.
Spring Parent & Family Day is open to families, friends, and USF students who attend any of our three campus locations. Registration is required for each participant, including USF students, to receive Family Day items and to participate in official weekend activities.
Cost & Registration
Registration for this event cost $35 per registrant. All attendees must pay the registration fee to partake in the activites throughout the day.
Registrants will receive the following on the day of the event:
- Parent & Family Day Shirt
- Wristband (Used to engage with various activites)
- Program Schedule for the day
- Access to the Parent & Family Day BBQ

Refund Policy
We aim to provide the best experience for our students and family members participating in our programs. Based on our event planning and purchasing timeline for Spring Parent & Family Day, we are unable to provide refunds. All sales are final.
Tips for Spring Parent & Family Day 2025
Check-in & visit the Help Desk
When coming to campus it is important that you check-in at one of our Welcome Table locations.
Guest are welcome to check-in at the Welcome Table on the University Student Center Lawn until 10am. After 10am, guests will be encouraged to check-in at our Welcome Table located at the Bayboro/Davis Breezeway. (This will be near our photobooth station)
It is important that you check-in to receive your:
- Parent & Family Day Shirt
- Wristband (Needed to engage with the days activities)
- Program Schedule for the day
- Maps to explore downtown St. Petersburg after the day concludes
If you and your party require accomdations the day of the program, please stop by our Welcome Table to obtain assistance.

FAQ
When should we arrive to Spring Parent & Family Day?
Guests are encouraged to arrive early Saturday morning in order to take full advantage of the events being offered. Our first program of the day starts Saturday morning at 9am on the University Student Center Lawn.
Our formal welcome will start on the Harborside Lawn at 10:30am kicking off our program!
What if my student has conflicts or campus obligations?
We are thrilled that you and your student are excited about Parent & Family Day. Please know that your student will likely still have class responsibilities, exams, and study groups during the weekend. Some students also have organization commitments.
We encourage you and your student to discuss their academic schedule according to their syllabi and any organization commitments prior to booking to ensure you have a positive experience during the day. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for these conflicts.
Can I get a refund?
We aim to provide the best experience for our students and family members participating in our programs. Based on our event planning and purchasing timeline for Parent & Family Day, we are unable to provide refunds. All sales are final.
Where should we look for travel accomodations?
The University of South Florida does not guarantee, approve, or endorse any specific hotel, lodging, or transportation option. However, we encourage families while doing their research to ask about a discounted rate for USF students and families. Guests participating in the day are responsible for coordinating and covering costs associated with their meals, travel, and accommodations.

All of the financial support the Office of Parent & Family Engagement receives to support our staffing, programs, and operations comes from the revenue generated by Family Weekend. Your registration enables us to support families as they support their student, to keep families informed of university happenings, and to provide opportunities for families to connect with each other. Your contribution ensures that we can maintain our programs and services while paving the way for new initiatives that will benefit USF families for years to come.
