Fall 2026 Move-In
Grand Opening Day
WELCOME HOME
We can't wait for you to join us on campus and Live the Bull's Life!
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE ON August 20 or AUGUST 21?
USF students should arrive between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 or Friday, August 21 in their housing portal and should plan to arrive during the timeframe they selected.
Move In Sign Up details will be emailed to your USF email account in the coming weeks.
Parking information: During move-in
Parking regulations are in place and enforced on the USF St. Petersburg campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To help make move-in as smooth as possible, Parking and Transportation Services will offer the following temporary exceptions:
- Visitor parking spaces may be used for up to 60 minutes. Vehicles parked longer than 60 minutes may receive a citation.
- Parking enforcement will be waived in Lot 2/STG and levels 2-5 of the parking garage.
- Please do not park in the unloading zones longer than 30 minutes.
- "Disabled Parking" spaces may only be used by vehicles displaying a proper state-issued disabled parking placard, hangtag, or license plate.
- Do not park in numbered, reserved, state vehicle or other designated parking spaces.
Please note that city streets will not be closed for move-in. Do not stop or park in a way that blocks traffic. Street parking is metered, requires payment to park, and is enforced by the city of St. Petersburg.
After you move in, make sure to purchase a parking permit through the USF Parking Portal.
grand opening's 3 steps to moving in
Grand Opening is one of celebration, transition, and support. Whether you arrive on your own or with family and friends, know that as a USF Bull, you will be welcomed by staff, faculty, and fellow students when you get to campus. Please follow our 3 Steps to Move-In when you arrive on August 20 or August 21.
-
Step One: Unload Your Belongings
- Welcome Home! Upon arriving to campus, residents and their families should follow signage to the University Student Center, where a move-in team will be waiting to help unload your belongings into a moving cart. Residents will be asked to park their vehicle in USF St Petersburg Parking Garage.
-
Step Two: Check-In
- Once you have arrived you will make your way to the first floor of the University Student Center and head to the check in tables. This is where our team will help you check in and get access to your room.
-
Step Three: Set Up Your Room!
- It's time to get settled into your new home! After you check in, head upstairs to unload your belongings with your move-in volunteer. When decorating and setting up your space, be sure to follow all USF Housing & Residential Education policies and guidelines.
