Starting in Summer/Fall

Schedule

Transfer students are required to complete a three-part Orientation experience:

  1. Pre-Orientation Course: Transfer students will complete their Pre-Orientation course online in Canvas, including the College Overview. Starting Mid-March, students will have access to their Pre-Orientation course, which is due one week prior to their scheduled Orientation Session.
  2. Academic Requirements & Course Registration: Prior to your Orientation Session, you will meet with an Academic Advisor to assist you in selecting your courses for your first semester. Students who submit completed immunization documents and updated transcripts will receive priority course registration. Incoming students should regularly check their USF email as the Academic Advising Center on the USF St. Petersburg campus may send additional instructions there.
  3. Orientation Session: Transfer students have the option of selecting an in-person or a virtual Orientation session. On the scheduled Orientation Session date, they will join Orientation Leaders and other incoming students on campus or through Microsoft Teams Meetings. Through facilitated conversations, presentations from campus offices, and other activities, students will have the opportunity to ask questions, make connections, and prepare for the transition to USF.

Note: All parts of Transfer Orientation are mandatory. Missing any part of Orientation can prevent you from registering for classes or staying enrolled in any pre-registered courses.
